It's that time of year again - REGISTRATIONS!

All Managers have the relevant league forms, information and mandatory club documents that need completing to register for each of our sides for the upcoming season. We need to ensure everyone is signed and up to date before the start of the new campaign.

Any further info needed, please contact our club secretary, Michelle Porter, who will certainly be able to assist.

​Its that time of the year again!

IT'S PRESENTATION DAY 2019 - being held at Leyland St Mary's Priory Club, Saturday 22nd June from 12:00pm to 18:00.

It promises to be an exciting, rewarding and amazing day. Please see your respective team managers for further info and ticket details.

This is the day of the year we look forward to most - rewarding the players of our club for all of their effort and hard work throughout the season. We can't wait.

Our Open Age Team have really hit form as the season comes to a close. We all knew this would be a big step, their first step into adult football but some huge help from some seasoned pro's; Andy Ainsworth and Craig Brown - who have stepped into the fold and worked hard on the pitch with the lads.

The lads are on a run of 4 unbeaten - 3 wins and a draw against some decent opposition along the way.

This team helped start this club and we couldn't be prouder of how they are progressing and growing, as they have done season on season, into adult football.

Here's to the next one!

As if Leyland is not enough - we're reached out as far as Africa!

One of our former players Darryn Hill is currently visiting Mozambique on his way back from South Africa. Football means a lot in Africa and Darryn wanted to give something back to the children of the remote villages in Mozambique while visiting.

Before he left, Leyland BTR donated some old style kits, currently not in use, and we're delighted to hear that these have been put to good use by some of the children in the villages. At least one of these kits would've been Darryn's old kit from when he played so it looks like the BTR number 4 has got a new lease of life!!

We got a lovely message from Darryn whilst still visiting villages:

"Handed kits out to some very happy kiddies in Mozambique!! Thanks so much BTR FC!".

I'm sure you'll all agree - the thanks should all go Darryn's way for a wonderful gesture and bringing the gift of football to these children's lives. Well done Daz!

Our Under 9's are looking for new players to come and enjoy football playing in the Mid Lancs Colts Junior Football League. All players will need to be in current school year 4.

Our players are ready, our managers are ready, the grass is cut, the leagues are set and the fixtures are out. WE'RE READY TO GO!

All teams are now registered and the leagues and fixtures are set ready for the start of a new league season for all our junior teams. Our Open Age Team are already underway.

Our Open Age team, who kicked off their season early this year, have been struggling with their home pitch. A few bobbles and bumps making games difficult.

Today - another show of the amazing togetherness of this club - one of our Under 12's players, Henry Veevers, gave up his Sunday to head down to the home pitch with the help of his Dad, a Tractor and a huge roller to help make our pitch as good as Wembley.

Henry drove the Tractor himself and covered every blade of grass. Everyone at the club, especially all the Open Age players and Management are so grateful to Henry for doing such an amazing job.

Our Open Age team kicked off their league campaign today.

Their first taste of adult, open age football and what a day it was. They came out 8-1 winners against Midgery Court. We've always known there was something special about this group of players but to walk out, play your first game in the "big league" and dominate like that - an excellent start to the season.

Well played lads. No doubt it's going to get harder as we go on but the entire club are proud of you all for such an amazing start!

Welcome to debutants Josh Clements and James O'Neill - well played lads. Welcome back to Cam Patterson - the Pat Man is back in business!

Our Open Age Team Managers have been active in the Transfer Market and managed to secure 2 marquee signings this evening.

After long negotiations with their agent (mum and wife) Laura Clements, we have managed to secure the services of both Paul and Josh Clements for the 2018/19 season.

The club are delighted to secure both signings and are sure the quality of both players will make a huge difference throughout the season.

New signing Josh commented "Yeah" and Paul confirmed that "this is the next step in my career, I'm hoping Southgate will be the next person on the phone".

We're delighted to welcome them both for another exciting season.

FUN IN THE SUN AND TROPHIES GALORE!

Well . . . what a day! Following a World Cup Delay to the 14th our Presentation Fun Day went ahead and it was a day to remember.

Fun in the sun with our Mini Champions League Tournament - eventually won by Benfica after a hotly contested final with Barcelona. Managers getting soaked by their teams in the stocks, food, drinks and cheer throughout the day.

A topped off with our team presentations and some well deserved awards to our amazing players and managers.

A huge thank you to all involved in making this day happen - it showcased exactly what our club is all about!

It's the event we've all been waiting for! The Presentation day for season 2017/18 has been CONFIRMED.

Our club is all about our players and as always, we want to celebrate their success, their effort and their performances throughout the season.

Our presentation day will be on Saturday 07th July at Academy @ Worden starting at 13:00.

The day has been organised to be fun for all the family with bouncy castles, face painting, a football tournament, a BBQ, drinks, snacks - and not forgetting our players presentations for another amazing season.

We look forward to seeing you all there.

All our teams, across all of our age groups have done us proud - once again. A huge thank you to all players, volunteers and supporters alike. A massive mention to our newest team, our Under 8's this season, who have joined us and made us proud every step of the way with their progression ready for another season at it next year.

Credit as always to our managers, who tirelessly work behind the scenes to make sure our lads can play football, likewise our committee who are integral to everything that happens here.

Well done everyone - Proud to be BTR.

A great performance by our Under 9's today to cement their place in the Semi Finals of their League Cup!

We couldn't be prouder of the lads and how well they're doing. A huge amount of praise must go to their Manager, Callum Day, who has guided the team through some tricky ties to get to this stage.

Lets hope they make the final BUT remember, no matter what the result - you've done everyone at the club proud.

Well the Easter Bunny decided to make an appearance at Worden High for our training session and treated all the lads at the club to a lovely Easter egg.

Needless the say, the lads were delighted and extremely grateful as always.

We grabbed a quick interview with "Mr Easter" himself who commented - "It was great to see the Leyland BTR lads, they work so hard across all age groups, I just hope the managers don't shout at me too much for giving them all some chocolate! They deserve it!" he carried on "The Tooth Fairy supports Barcelona but I am definitely a Leyland BTR fan!".

Well - to get on our pitches throughout December and January you'd have been better equipped with a snorkel and flippers! The weather has been terrible which has seen most leagues stop in their tracks across the county.

Luckily, the all weather facilities that BTR invest have made sure that our lads continue to train weekly and play matches when they can on artificial surfaces. 

Good news! All competitive leagues have confirmed that ALL games will be played and caught up with. Looks like we're going to have a busy spring!!

OH WHAT A NIGHT!

An amazing night of festive fun was had by all members of our club. Its was great to see all of our players, parents, siblings and supporters join the committee and managers for a fantastic evening of Christmas cheer. A special thanks to Fox Lane Cricket Club, Leyland for hosting the event, to Jonjo Kerr for an amazing evenings entertainment and not forgetting the Big Man himself - Santa - who took time out to come a visit us at his busiest time of year. We hope everyone enjoyed it and all the players enjoyed their gifts. We are BTR.

IT'S CHRISTMAS! And here at BTR we love it just as much as everyone else. In preparation for the Big Man coming to town, we're pleased to announce our Christmas Party 2017 will take place on Friday 01st December at Fox Lane Cricket Club for ALL of our players, coaches, committee members and supporters. Everyone is welcome for an evening of festive fun with a visit from the very own Santa Claus and live entertainment from X-Factor Finalist, Jonjo Kerr. It'll be a night not to be missed. And we're off - all our teams are registered in their League and this weekend all play their first games of what's set to be an exciting, enjoyable, fun filled season 2017/18. Registrations for ALL of our teams are open!

It's essential all our players register with their respective leagues asap so we are all set for the new season.

Managers have been distributing signing on packs so please return them, completed, with any additional documentation required AND your league signing on fee ASAP.

There's nothing we enjoy more than celebrating the success, the effort and the commitment of our players.

Presentation Day 2017 was held at Farington Social Club and was a huge success - enjoyed by players, coaches, management and family members alike.

A huge thank you to everyone for attending; the players for their work throughout the season, to Farington Social Club for hosting us and for Katy's Kitchen of Chorley, for providing some great food to keep us all going.

Here's to another fantastic season.
